ZEROSPAM earns Top-3 Worldwide Ranking in Global VBSpam Evaluation, with Near Perfect Results and Zero ¨False Positives¨
Montreal – January 22, 2013 – The ZEROSPAM Canadian cloud antispam solution has earned high honours receiving the third best worldwide ranking in the most recent VBSpam Evaluation. This is an impressive result for the Montreal-based solution especially because of the level of competition. Major industry players participating in the evaluation included Bitdefender, Symantec, FortiMail and McAfee. Beyond the 3rd best ranking, ZEROSPAM received further validation because it did not block a single legitimate message while it’s catch-rate was 99.89%. These results were published on January 22nd, 2013 by Virus Bulletin who operates a neutral, third-party antispam evaluation program that the industry’s leading players participate in. ZEROSPAM was the only Canadian antispam solution to earn the VBSpam+ award which requires a minimum catch-rate of 99.5% without any false positives (blocked legitimate messages). Clients are extremely concerned about false positives and rightly so. Blocking legitimate messages can have immediate consequences on a company’s sales and daily operations. That’s why filtering spam is such a difficult job. A good solution must recognize and effectively block spam, phishing email, harmful attachments and dangerous URLs contained in email messages but it must do so without blocking legitimate communications. Thus the false positive rate becomes a very important criteria in choosing an antispam solution. “This perfect score on legitimate messages detection is extremely gratifying for us, said David Poellhuber, president and CEO of ZEROSPAM Security. Especially since it’s coming from such a reputable third party evaluation.” ZEROSPAM is also a leader in the growing security market trend of Clud IT solutions. A growing number of companies are choosing cloud antispam solutions because of the added security and substantial resources savings they provide. These solutions are fully redundant, keep the network perimeter safe and clean, are very light to manage and they also protect clients from loss of email if their server or network is down. ZEROSPAM is one of the very few cloud antispam solution whose network is 100% Canadian. It is backed by quick and competent technical support - something that ZEROSPAM considers essential for any provider on the email path even in a world of ever-shrinking client service.
